There are many excellent courses just a few minutes from Carob Tree Villa, and we have provided links to some of these on this page. The sports facilities listed below are just a sample from the local offerings; there are many more choices just a short drive away.

Golf
You are spoilt for choice where golf is concerned, and this is reflected by the existence of various golfing discounts and packages, including cash discounts at golf shops, golf passports that provide access to a number of courses, and sports club memberships that offer facilities and discounts on products and services. Some of the finest golf courses are just minutes from Carob Tree Villa, and many more are just a short drive away. The Ocean and Royal courses, which combined are known as Vale do Lobo () +351 289 353535) are situated within the resort of Vale do Lobo.
Ria Formosa (+351 289 390700), Pinheiros Altos () +351 289 359910), São Lorenço () +351 289 396522) and Quinta do Lago () +351 289 390700) are set around Quinta do Lago, just 5 minutes away.
In Vilamoura, 10 minutes drive away, there are some very popular courses: the Old Course () +351 289 310340), Pinhal () +351 289 310390), Laguna () +351 289 310180) and Vila Sol () +351 289 300505).

Tennis
The Vale do Lobo Tennis Academy () +351 289 396991) offers a dozen or so courts, gym, sauna, bar and restaurant. Associated with the academy is the 12-court Vilamoura Tennis Centre () +351 289 310160), which provides tuition and includes a bar and restaurant. Quinta do Lago is home to the Jim Stewart Tennis Academy () +351 289 398848). There are also courts (and other facilities) at clubs such as Barringtons and the Rock Garden, mentioned below.
Horse Riding
Close to the villa is the Quinta dos Amigos riding centre () +351 289 393399), Horses Paradise () +351 289 396468) and Pinetrees Riding Centre () +351 289 394369) are also quite close by, while the Vilamoura Riding Centre () +351 289 313033) is also just a short drive away. Training, beach rides and cross country riding are all available.
Watersports
The Quinta do Lago Watersports Centre offers opportunities for sailing, windsurfing, parasailing, water skiing, jetskiing, canoeing, pedaloes and bronco rides on the lake and on the beaches. There is a large marina at Vilamoura from where you can sail and much more (see also the Facilities page) and there are plenty of other places along the coast providing watersports facilities.
