Carob Tree Villa • Vale do Lobo • Algarve • Portugal
Most brochures and magazines around the resort will carry maps of the central Algarve or the local resorts, and if you're thinking of travelling around it's certainly worth buying a decent road map. The maps below are really just to help you identify some of the many features mentioned elsewhere on this site.
The journey from the airport to the villa is quite straightforward. Follow the exit signs to Faro and Portimão and, after around 2 miles, follow signs to Portimão. 3 miles further on, remain on the EN125 to Portimão and Almancil, ignoring the major route to Loule. 2 miles further take the first exit signposted to Almancil and follow this road through the town. Ignore turnings to Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo, pass the traffic lights and then turn left on the road signposted to Quarteira. The villa is a mile or so along this road. Shortly after the brow of a hill you'll notice the India Tandoori on your right. Slow down, as the villa is on the right immediately past the next restaurant, A Lareira. (There is a turning on the left to Vale do Lobo at this point.) The villa's entrance is the left of a pair.
